The Home for the Friendless is a historic building in St. Louis, Missouri. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. An elder care facility, it is at 4431 South Broadway.
It was on Carondelet Road. It was for "friendless old ladies." A court case addressed whether it could be taxed.
The Missouri Advisory Council on Historic Preservation considered it for National Register listing in 2015.
History
In 1847, a "Home for the Friendless" was built in New York City.
