Tianjin Medical University Chu Hsien-I Memorial Hospital, also known as Tianjin Medical University Metabolic Disease Hospital or Tianjin Metabolic Disease Prevention and Treatment Center, is located at 6 Huanrui North Road, Beichen District, Tianjin, People's Republic of China.
History
The history of Chu Hsien-I Hospital can be traced back to 1959 when Chu Hsien-I established the endocrinology department at Tianjin Medical College. In July 1998, Tianjin Medical University officially opened the hospital to the public at 66 Tong'an Road, Heping District, Tianjin, with medical equipment donated by the Japanese government.
In 2004, Tianjin Medical University Metabolic Disease Hospital merged with Tianjin Institute of Endocrinology. Currently, Tianjin Medical University Zhu Xianyi Memorial Hospital is a comprehensive tertiary grade A university hospital specializing in metabolic diseases. It is affiliated with Tianjin Medical University and supervised by the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission.
