Vejlby Stadium (Danish: Vejlby Stadion) is an association football facility in Risskov, Denmark. It is the home stadium of 3rd Division club VSK Aarhus which is a merger between the former tenants of the stadium, IK Skovbakken and Vejlby IK. Constructed in 1969, it is part of the sports complex, known as Vejlby-Risskov Sports Centre (Danish: Vejlby-Risskov Idrætscenter), owned by Aarhus Municipality.
Record attendance at Vejlby Stadium occurred on 7 September 1978, when IK Skovbakken faced local rivals AGF in the Danish Superliga, then called 1st Division. 11,763 spectators saw the home team lose 2–4.
Redevelopment
From the latter half of the 2024–25 season, and the entire 2025–26 season, Vejlby Stadium is set to become the temporary home ground for AGF, the main football club in Aarhus, due to the construction of their new stadium in Kongelunden. To accommodate the club and its fans, Vejlby Stadium will undergo significant renovations, including the addition of mobile stands, increasing the capacity to 12,000 spectators.
The total cost of the project is expected to be around DKK 75 million. AGF has raised DKK 43 million through a stock issuance to cover part of the costs, though final funding arrangements for the entire redevelopment are still being discussed by city authorities. A hybrid grass surface, preferred by AGF for its compatibility with their playing style, will likely be installed during the renovations. Security and fan management systems, similar to those in place at AGF's current home, Ceres Park, will also be implemented to ensure safety during matches. These temporary measures will ensure that AGF can continue to play in Aarhus during the construction of their new home. After AGF moves to their new stadium, Vejlby Stadium will be further developed to serve primarily as a venue for women's football, with a capacity of 2,000.
