      • Will Putney is an American record producer and metal musician perhaps best known for co-founding the deathcore band Fit for an Autopsy.


      Early life


      Putney grew up in Sayreville, New Jersey. He began playing guitar as a teenager and formed his first band when he was 15. He studied biomedical engineering at the Stevens Institute of Technology.

      Producing


      Putney has produced albums for dozens of notable acts and bands, including Knocked Loose, Norma Jean, Body Count, The Acacia Strain, Thy Art is Murder, Suicide Silence, and Northlane. His studio, Graphic Nature Audio, is located in Kinnelon, New Jersey. In an interview with Metal Hammer, Body Count frontman Ice-T described Putney as "the Dr. Dre of metal."
