Wings Off the Sea is a 1954 Australian novel by J. E. Macdonnell. It told the story of an Australian air craft carrier during the Korean War. (Another Macdonnell novel Gimme the Boats had also been adapted for radio.)




Radio serial


The ABC adapted the novel into a 1954 radio serial. There was 26 episodes of 15 minutes. MacDonell did the adaptation himself. Rod Taylor starred.
