Abu Ghraib ( ; bahasa Arab: أبو غريب, Abū Ghurayb) adalah sebuah kota Sunni Arab di Provinsi Baghdad Irak, terletak di barat pusat kota Baghdad, atau barat laut dari Bandara Internasional Baghdad. Kota ini memiliki populasi 189.000 (2003). Jalan lama ke Yordania melewati Abu Ghraib. Pemerintah Irak menjadikan kota Abu Ghraib sebagai Kabupaten pada tahun 1944.
Nama tempat yang bila diterjemahkan adalah "ayah dari gagak kecil" (kemungkinan berarti "tempat yang berlimpah di gagak kecil"), tetapi penerjemahan ini telah dicurigai sebagai "etimologi penduduk setempat", dan nama yang lebih memungkinkan berkaitan dengan Gharb yang berarti "barat ".
Abu Ghraib dikenal dengan adanya pabrik susu formula bayi yang oleh badan-badan intelijen Barat diklaim sebagai fasilitas produksi senjata biologis. Pabrik dibangun pada tahun 1980 dan dicat dengan pola kamuflase belang-belang selama Perang Iran-Irak. Wilayah itu dibom selama Perang Teluk, dan pemerintah Irak memperbolehkan reporter CNN Peter Arnett untuk memfilmkan gedung hancur bersama dengan tanda yang dicat mencolok bertuliskan, "pabrik susu bayi". Sebagian fasilitas Irak dibangun kembali fasilitas sesudah perang, Menteri Luar Negeri AS Colin Powell mengatakan bahwa pabrik tersebut palsu yang menyamarkan adanya pabrik yang sebenarnya memproduksi senjata dalam jangka panjang untuk Perang Irak. Penyelidikan CIA telah menyimpulkan bahwa situs tersebut telah dibom dengan keyakinan bahwa itu adalah "fasilitas kunci senjata biologis". Ketika dilaksanakannya pemeriksaan fasilitas yang diduga situs persenjataan oleh Irak Survei Group kemudian menetapkan bahwa pabrik tersebut dalam kondisi tidak digunakan, diabaikan sebagai pabrik susu bayi namun tidak pula ditemukan adanya produksi senjata sebagaimana yang dicurigai.
Kota ini juga merupakan tempat bagi penjara Abu Ghraib, merupakan salah satu tempat di mana pembangkang politik dipenjarakan di bawah mantan penguasa Irak Saddam Hussein. Ribuan pembangkang tersebut disiksa dan dieksekusi. Setelah jatuhnya Saddam Hussein, penjara Abu Ghraib digunakan oleh pasukan Amerika di Irak. Pada tahun 2003, penjara Abu Ghraib dikecam oleh masyarakat internasional karena adanya penyiksaan dan pelanggaran HAM oleh anggota Angkatan Darat Amerika Serikat selama periode setelah invasi Irak.
