      • Anthony Colandrea (born October 16, 2004) is an American football quarterback who plays for the UNLV Rebels. He previously played for the Virginia Cavaliers.


      Early life and high school


      Colandrea was born in Saint Petersburg, Florida where he attended Lakewood High School. In his high school career, he completed 508 out of his 812 pass attempts for 7,311 yards and 60 touchdowns to 24 interceptions. Colandrea also rushed for 1,021 yards 11 touchdowns, while also hauling in four receptions for 68 yards. He committed to play college football at the University of Virginia.

      Colandrea made his first career start in week two after starting quarterback Tony Muskett went down with an injury. In his first start, Colandrea completed 20 of his 26 passes for 377 yards and two touchdowns with one interception, but the Cavaliers would fall to James Madison 36-35. For his performance on the game, Colandrea was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) freshman of the week. He started six games as a true freshman with 1,958 yards 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions, leading Virginia to a record of 1-5.
