    Orang Arawak (dari kata aru, kata dalam bahasa Lokono yang berarti tepung singkong) adalah penduduk asli (Indian) yang ditemui oleh para penjelajah Spanyol, yang paling terkenal di antaranya adalah Christopher Columbus, di India Barat (kepulauan Karibia sekarang). Bangsa Arawak terdiri dari bangsa Taino di Antilles Besar, Bahama dan Bimini, Nepoya dan Suppoyo di Trinidad, dan Igneri. Bahasa yang mereka gunakan adalah bahasa Arawak.
