    Argus Filch adalah tokoh fiksi penjaga sekolah Hogwarts dalam seri Harry Potter karya J. K. Rowling. Walaupun ia bukan merupakan karakter yang jahat, ia adalah seorang yang berwatak cepat marah dan keras, sehingga ia sangat tidak populer di kalangan murid-murid. Filch adalah seorang penjaga sangat mengekang, seperti larangan berada di luar asrama pada malam hari, yang membuat ketidaknyamanan bagi para murid. Tidak ada yang seperti Filch dalam pengetahuan mengenai jalan-jalan rahasia dan pintas di puri Hogwarts. Mungkin yang dapat melebihinya hanyalah James Potter dan kawan-kawannya (para 'Perampok') dan Fred dan George Weasley. Nama belakang "Filch" adalah kata dalam bahasa Inggris yang berarti "mencuri (secara kecil-kecilan)". Nama kucingnya, "Mrs Norris" berasal dari novel karya Jane Austen Mansfield Park.
    Dalam karya Austen, Mrs Norris adalah seorang karakter yang suka ikut campur, yang membuat hidup tokoh utamanya, Fanny Price, menjadi susah (walaupun tokoh Bibi Norris di novel Austen lebih mirip dengan Petunia Dursley ketimbang kucing Filch).
    Filch diperankan oleh David Bradley dalam seri film-film Harry Potter. He's not good at either his real job (cleaning up), being a Squib and thus unable to deal with any and all magical messes - never mind dealing with Peeves' ones; or his self-appointed job (discipline), given all the stuff students get by him.

She acts as a lookout/spy/assistant to Filch, whereby she is often walking the corridors at night looking for law-breakers, and runs off to Mr. Filch to complain whenever she notices anything.
