    Benjamin Joseph Manaly Novak (lahir 31 Juli 1979) adalah seorang aktor, penulis skenario, sutradara, komedian, penulis dan produser asal Amerika Serikat. Dia telah menerima lima nominasi Primetime Emmy Award dan memenangkan dua Screen Actors Guild Awards.
    Novak dikenal karena berperan sebagai Ryan Howard dalam sitkom NBC, The Office (2005–2013), di mana ia juga menjabat sebagai penulis skenario, produser eksekutif, dan sutradara dalam beberapa episode. Ia berperan dalam film Inglourious Basterds (2009), Saving Mr. Banks (2013) dan The Founder (2016). Novak membuat debut penyutradaraannya pada tahun 2022, serta membintangi film thriller komedi gelap Vengeance.     Kehidupan awal


    Novak lahir pada 31 Juli 1979, di Newton, Massachusetts. Orang tuanya adalah Linda (née Manaly) dan penulis William Novak. Keluarga Novak merupakan orang Yahudi. Ayahnya ikut mengedit The Big Book of Jewish Humor, dan menjadi Penulis bayangan memoar untuk Nancy Reagan, Lee Iacocca, Magic Johnson dan lainnya. Novak memiliki dua adik laki-laki: Lev Novak dan komposer Jesse Novak.
    Novak bersekolah di Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston untuk sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah. Dia pergi ke Camp Rama di New England di Massachusetts selama beberapa musim panas ketika dia berada di kelas 6, 7 dan 9.
    Dia bersekolah di SMA Newton South dengan sesama pemain The Office, John Krasinski, dan mereka lulus pada tahun 1997. Novak mengedit salah satu surat kabar sekolah, The Lion's Roar, dan menulis drama satir dengan Krasinski.
    Novak lulus dari Universitas Harvard pada tahun 2001, di mana dia menjadi anggota dari Harvard Lampoon. Dia mengambil jurusan sastra Inggris dan Spanyol, dan menulis tesis kehormatannya tentang film-film Hamlet karya Shakespeare.     Kehidupan pribadi


    Novak bersahabat dekat dengan Mindy Kaling, yang ia temui ketika penulisan untuk The Office, dan menyebutnya "orang paling penting dalam hidup saya". Keduanya sempat berkencan saat menulis dan berakting di acara tersebut. Novak adalah ayah baptis dari dua anak Kaling. Saat ini Novak tinggal di Los Angeles.
