Back at the Barnyard sebenarnya mirip dengan film animasi yang berjudul "Barnyard".Baik pada judulnya, tokohnya, maupun garis besar ceritanya. Namun Nickelodeon mengatakan bahwa serial kartun produksinya ini tidak ada hubungannya dengan film versi layar lebarnya yang diputar pada tahun 2001 yang lalu. Back at the Barnyard pertama kali ditayangkan pada tanggal 29 September 2002. Serial kartun ini juga ditayangkan di RCTI untuk versi dalam bahasa Indonesia.




Sinopsis


Pada dasarnya, inti dari cerita ini adalah tentang masalah yang melanda Otis seekor sapi dan teman-temannya di sebuah peternakan. Otis berusaha menyelesaikan masalah yang ada disekitarnya. Sebab Otis merasa bertanggung jawab melindungi kawan-kawannya. Teman-temannya Otis ialah Pip si tikus, Pig si babi, Peck si ayam, Duke si Anjing, Abby dan Bessy yang juga sapi,tetapi mereka adalah sapi betina. Otis dan teman-temannya harus bisa mengatasi berbagai masalah yang mengganggu mereka dan gudang tempat tinggal mereka seperti misalnya gangguan dari Nyonya Beady yang berusaha membuktikan bahwa hewan-hewan di peternakan dapat berbicara. Bahkan Nyonya Beady ingin membawa hewan-hewan tersebut diseluruh dunia bila hewan-hewan tersebut dapat berbicara.Satu lagi pengganggu yaitu keponakan dari Nyonya Beady yang dipanggil Snotty Boy. Mereka berdua sering sekali menyiksa hewan-hewan tersebut.
