Boswellia sacra, juga dikenal sebagai Boswellia carteri dan lain-lain, dan biasa disebut pohon kemenyan atau pohon olibanum, adalah pohon dalam genus Boswellia, dalam keluarga Burseraceae, dari mana kemenyan, getah kering resin, dipanen. Pohon olibanum adalah tanaman asli negara Oman dan Yaman, di selatan Semenanjung Arab, dan Somalia, di Tanduk Afrika. IUCN mengklasifikasikannya sebagai spesies mendekati terancam.
Habitat
B. sacra tahan terhadap situasi paling kritis dan sering tumbuh di lereng berbatu dan jurang, hingga ketinggian 1.200 m (3.900 kaki), sebagian besar di tanah berkapur. Boswellia sacra melimpah di Oman di hutan gersang, di lereng curam dan rawan erosi di pegunungan Dhofar, namun paling banyak terdapat di Somalia Timur dan utara.
Di Somalia, kemenyan dipanen terutama di Bari dan di wilayah timur Sanaag: pegunungan yang terletak di sebelah timur Bosaso; dan barat ke laasqorey; dan pegunungan Calmadow, lereng curam di sebelah barat yang sejajar dengan pantai; juga segmen menengah dari lereng yang tumbuh kemenyan; Pegunungan Karkaar atau lereng timur, yang terletak di pinggiran timur lereng kemenyan.
