    • Domenico Ghirlandaio (lahir 1449, wafat 11 Januari 1494) adalah seorang pelukis Firenze zaman Renaissance yang terkenal, sezaman dengan Botticelli dan Filippino Lippi. Salah satu di antara murid-muridnya yang banyak adalah Michelangelo.

    Nama lengkapnya adalah Domenico di Tommaso Curradi di Doffo Bigordi. Dari namanya tampak bahwa nama keluarga ayahnya adalah Curradi dan nama keluarga kakeknya adalah Bigordi. Domenico, anak tertua dari delapan bersaudara, pertama-tama belajar dari seorang ahli perhiasan atau seorang tukang emas (kemungkinan besar adalah ayahnya sendiri). Julukannya Il Ghirlandaio (pembuat untaian kalung) didapat Domenico dari ayahnya, seorang tukang emas yang terkenal atas pembuatan untaian kalung logam yang banyak dikenakan oleh wanita-wanita Florentina saat itu. Di tempat kerja ayahnya, Domenico konon suka melukis orang-orang yang berlalu-lalang di depannya. Ia akhirnya dikirim untuk belajar melukis dan membuat mosaik.
