Endotelin-1 GudangMovies21 Rebahinxxi LK21

Endothelin 1 - Wikipedia

Endothelin 1 (ET-1), also known as preproendothelin-1 (PPET1), is a potent vasoconstrictor peptide produced by vascular endothelial cells, [5] as well as by cells in the heart (affecting contractility) and kidney (affecting sodium handling). [6]

Physiology, Endothelin - StatPearls - NCBI Bookshelf

May 1, 2023 · Endothelin is a 21-amino acid long peptide that is a vasoconstrictor produced from endothelial cells, vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC), macrophages, and the renal medulla. They are known to produce endothelin-1 (ET-1) that acts on the receptors ETA and ETB.

Endothelin-1 in Health and Disease - PMC - PubMed Central (PMC)

Discovered almost 40 years ago, the potent vasoconstrictor peptide endothelin-1 (ET-1) has a wide range of roles both physiologically and pathologically. In recent years, there has been a focus on the contribution of ET-1 to disease.

Endothelin - Wikipedia

Endothelins are 21- amino acid vasoconstricting peptides produced primarily in the endothelium having a key role in vascular homeostasis.

Endothelin: Function and Purpose - Cleveland Clinic

May 12, 2022 · Endothelin (ET) is a peptide (small protein) that helps regulate your blood pressure by constricting (tightening) your blood vessels. Peptides are small proteins made up of short chains of amino acids (organic compounds).

Endothelin-1: Biosynthesis, Signaling and Vasoreactivity

Endothelin-1 (ET-1) is an extremely potent vasoconstrictor peptide originally isolated from endothelial cells. Its synthesis, mainly regulated at the gene transcription level, involves processing of a precursor by a furin-type proprotein convertase to an …

Understanding the role of endothelin-1 (ET-1) - AstraZeneca

Nov 2, 2023 · Endothelin-1 (ET-1) is a peptide that plays a crucial role in regulating various physiological processes in the human body. It is primarily produced and secreted by endothelial cells, which are the cells that line the inner walls of blood vessels.

Endothelins in cardiovascular biology and therapeutics

Mar 13, 2019 · Endothelin 1 (ET-1) is the most potent endogenous vasoconstrictor and contributes to basal vascular tone as well as a number of diseases, such as hypertension, chronic kidney disease...

Endothelin: 30 Years From Discovery to Therapy - PubMed

Discovered in 1987 as a potent endothelial cell-derived vasoconstrictor peptide, endothelin-1 (ET-1), the predominant member of the endothelin peptide family, is now recognized as a multifunctional peptide with cytokine-like activity contributing to almost all aspects of physiology and cell function …

Endothelin-1 is associated with mortality that can be attenuated …

ET-1 endothelin-1, CV death cardiovascular death, non-CV death non-cardiovascular death, SCD sudden cardiac death. High intensity statin therapy attenuates high ET-1 associated risks. We further investigated for a potential medical therapy that could offset the increased mortality associated with high circulating ET-1 levels.
