    Margarete Berta Braun (Jerman: [ˈgʁɛtl̩ ˈbʁaʊn]; 31 Agustus 1915 – 10 Oktober 1987) adalah salah satu dari dua saudara perempuan Eva Braun. Dia adalah anggota lingkaran sosial dalam Adolf Hitler di Berghof. Gretl menjadi saudara ipar Hitler setelah pernikahannya dengan Eva, kurang dari 40 jam sebelum pasangan itu bunuh diri bersama.
    Braun menikah dengan SS-Gruppenführer Hermann Fegelein, seorang perwira penghubung staf Hitler, pada 3 Juni 1944. Pada hari-hari terakhir Perang Dunia II, Fegelein ditembak karena desersi. Terlepas dari ikatan Gretl dengan rezim Nazi, dia berhasil selamat dari perang hampir sepenuhnya tanpa cedera. Dia mengubah namanya, menikah lagi, dan menjalani kehidupan yang tenang sampai kematiannya pada tahun 1987.

The woman in the picture "Eva and Friend" is indeed Herta Schneider, not Gretl - as you say, usually confused in book captions. Geoff

She lived with her second husband in Heidelberg. Ilse Braun died of cancer in Munich in 1979. She is buried in Munich, next to her niece Eva Fegelein (daughter of Gretl Braun).

Mar 2, 2010 · Here are two closeup photos of the sisters. Top is Eva bottom is Gretl. There are distinctive differences. Photos from google. Hope this helps. I'm not 100% certain either, but she looks more like Gretl to me. Gretl looked more like her father Fritz, Eva took after her mother.
