Jul 7, 2020 · It's the only P&C I've ever really enjoyed. The thing is I don't really appreciate the puzzles in these games, and Grim Fandango I also found quite obtuse a good portion of the time. I cheated to get through the game, and used a guide whenever I found myself stuck.
Sep 17, 2019 · It was very doable when it first came out. I played and solved all LucasArts adventure games without a guide when they first came out. There wasn't even an internet available for earlier LucasArts games, although by the time Grim Fandango came out there was late 90s internet with the amazing Netscape browser.
Jan 4, 2019 · My main complaint about Grim Fandango (I've stated in the other thread I made) is that I found it a little obtuse. A lot of other users agreed on this point as well. Any recommendations here for a casual fan? It doesn't strictly have to be a point and click game but a game with a strong narrative, great characters and a little problem solving.
Dec 31, 2018 · Grim Fandango is definitely one of the more challenging games from LucasArts. Year 2 (when you get to Rubacava) has most of those obtuse puzzles in the entire game, imo And no shame in using a guide for these kind of games!

Nov 7, 2024 · Grim Fandango is a game that assumes you've played the LucasArts adventure games so many times that you understand its logic -- which made more sense when it was released then it does now -- though even in that context I freely admit a couple of its puzzles suck lol. but don't feel any shame about looking up a solution if you get stuck
