    Grozny (bahasa Rusia: Гро́зный; bahasa Chechen: Соьлж-ГІала Solj Ghaala) adalah ibu kota Republik Chechnya di Rusia. Pada 2002, populasinya berjumlah 210.720 jiwa. Kota ini terletak dekat Sungai Sunzha.

    Grozny didirikan pada 1818 sebagai pos terdepan militer Rusia hingga awal abad ke-20. Kemudian ia menjadi pusat industri terkemuka dan salah satu pusat produksi minyak milik Uni Soviet yang pertama. Selain aktivitas pengeboran minyak, Grozny kini juga dilalui oleh jejaring pipa minyak Rusia.[1] Diarsipkan 2018-04-28 di Wayback Machine.
    Grozny dibagi menjadi empat distrik berbentuk kota administratif: Leninsky, Zavodskoy, Staropromyslovsky, dan Oktyabrsky. Keempat distrik tersebut merupakan tempat pemukiman, tetapi distrik Staropromyslovsky juga merupakan lokasi pengeboran minyak, sedangkan di distrik Oktyabrsky terdapat pula industri-industri. Namun, sebagian besar wilayah Grozny telah hancur semasa Perang Chechnya.
    Setelah keruntuhan Uni Soviet, Grozny diduduki oleh rezim separatis pimpinan Dzhokhar Dudaev dan kembali direbut oleh tentara Rusia semasa Perang Chechnya I pada 1995, tetapi para gerilyawan yang beroperasi dekat pegunungan mampu memperdayakan dan menurunkan rasa percaya diri (demoralise) sebagian tentara Rusia. Tekanan politik dari publik memaksa tentara Rusia keluar dari Grozny pada 1996 dan kota ini kembali berada di tangan separatis Chechnya. Pertempuran yang berlangsung di sana menyebabkan banyak bangunan-bangunan yang hancur dan rusak.
    Grozny telah kembali menjadi milik Rusia sejak terjadinya Perang Chechnya II pada 1999. Perwakilan pemerintahan federal di Chechnya berpusat di Grozny. Markas-markas pemerintah menjadi target pengeboman pada 27 Desember 2002 oleh para pemberontak Chechnya.
