Isaac Of Stella (born c. 1100, England—died c. 1169, Étoile, near Poitiers, Aquitaine) was a monk, philosopher, and theologian, a leading thinker in 12th-century Christian humanism and proponent of a synthesis of Neoplatonic and Aristotelian philosophies.
Isaac of Stella, one of the great monastic thinkers of the Middle Ages, was born in England about 1100. He apparently studied in both England and France before entering the monastery of Citeaux.
