    Jo-Issa Rae Diop (lahir 12 Januari 1985), dikreditkan secara profesional sebagai Issa Rae, adalah seorang aktris, penulis dan produser asal Amerika Serikat. Rae pertama kali menarik perhatian untuk karyanya di serial web YouTube, Awkward Black Girl. Sejak 2011, Rae terus mengembangkan saluran YouTube-nya yang menampilkan berbagai film pendek, serial web, dan konten lain yang dibuat oleh orang kulit hitam.

    Nama lahir Rae, Jo-Issa, berasal dari gabungan nama neneknya: Joyce dan Isseu. Nama tengahnya, Rae, diambil dari nama seorang bibi, yang merupakan seorang seniman.
    Rae menikahi pasangan lamanya, Louis Diame, seorang pengusaha Senegal, dalam sebuah upacara pribadi di Prancis pada Juli 2021. Rae pertama kali mengenakan cincin pertunangannya secara terbuka di sampul majalah Essence edisi April 2019.
