John Forbes Nash, Jr. (13 Juni 1928 – 23 Mei 2015) adalah matematikawan Amerika Serikat yang karya-karyanya di bidang teori permainan, geometri diferensial, dan persamaan diferensial parsial telah membuka jalan bagi ilmuwan untuk mempelajari faktor-faktor yang mengatur kemungkinan dan peristiwa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

John Forbes Nash Jr. (June 13, 1928 – May 23, 2015), known and published as John Nash, was an American mathematician who made fundamental contributions to game theory, real algebraic geometry, differential geometry, and partial differential equations.
He was a veteran of WW1 and had served in France as a lieutenant in the supply services and consequently had not been in actual front lines combat in the war. He was originally from Texas and had obtained his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Texas Agricultural and Mechanical (Texas A. and M.).
John Nash Jr., a legendary fixture of Princeton University’s Department of Mathematics renowned for his breakthrough work in mathematics and game theory as well as for his struggle with mental illness, died with his wife, Alicia, in an automobile accident May 23 in Monroe Township, New Jersey.
