Ketonuria merupakan simtoma adanya senyawa keton di dalam air seni.
Ketonuria dijumpai pada penderita kelaparan atau diabetes mellitus tipe 1 karena sel tubuh yang tidak dapat menyerap glukosa sebagai nutrisi, beralih kepada lemak sebagai sumber bahan bakar seluler alternatif dan menghasilkan residu berupa senyawa dengan gugus keton, seperti aseton, asam asetoasetat dan asam hidroksibutirat-beta.




Berapa nilai normal keton dalam urin?


Normal keton = Hasil tes negatif atau kertas pad tidak berganti warna.
Nilai-nilai keton dalam urin dibaca sebagai: –

Kecil – kurang dari 20 mg / dL
Sedang – antara 30–40 mg / dL
Besar – 40 hingga 80 mg / dL
Sangat besar – 80 hingga 160 mg.dL
Keton positif tidak dianggap menjadi masalah jika: –

Target Glukosa darah Anda berada dalam jangkauan.
Jika Anda sedang berpuasa atau melakukan diet ketat, terutama diet rendah karbohidrat, makan banyak protein dan lemak.

Jika ada keton urin antara 30–80 mg / dL, segera menghubungi perawat kesehatan terdekat. Atau Anda bisa melakukan pencegahan atau menunda bahaya dengan beberapa tindakan. Berikut langkah-langkah untuk selamat:

Minumlah banyak air untuk ‘mencuci’ keton. Setidaknya 1 gelas setiap 30 menit.
Hindari aktifitas fisik berat
Minumlah lebih banyak air.
Periksa glukosa darah Anda setiap 3-4 jam.
Minum lebih banyak air.
Jika gula darah Anda di atas 13,3 mmol / l (240 mg / dl) terus uji keton.
Minum lebih banyak air.
