Lionsgate Entertainment Corporation adalah perusahaan hiburan Kanada yang telah ada dalam inkarnasi yang berbeda. Sejarah
Lionsgate didirikan pada tahun 1995 oleh Frank Giustra, seorang investor bank di Vancouver yang berharap untuk memanfaatkan industri film yang berkembang di kota kelahirannya. Lionsgate juga menyatakan mereka akan mulai bekerja di bidang pembuatan album musik, nantinya pada tahun 2011.
Distribusi film terbaru dipilih (non-in-house) untuk membayar per-view dan dalam permintaannya berada di bawah pengawasan NBC Universal Television Distribution pada Universal Pictures (Universal secara resmi diadakan sebagai hak video rumah dan televisi untuk banyak film-film awal dari Lionsgate), sementara yang lainnya akan didistribusikan baik untuk televisi kabel dan siaran televisi melalui Debmar-Mercury, divisi sindikasi Lionsgate's.
