    Melpomene (bahasa Yunani: Μελπομένη, bahasa Inggris: [mɛlˈpɒmɨniː]; "bernyanyi" atau "dia yang merdu"), adalah salah seorang Musai. Pada awalnya dia adalah Musai nyanyian, tetapi kemudian dia menjadi Musai drama tragedi. Namanya berasal dari kata melpô atau melpomai, bermakna "merayakan dengan lagu dan tari". Dia sering digambarkan memegang pisau atau pemukul, dan topeng tragedi, serta memakai Kothurnos, yaitu sepatu bot yang biasa digunakan para aktor tragedi. Dia juga digambarkan mengenakan mahkota cypress. Melpomene adalah putra dari Zeus dan Mnemosine.
