    Mike Capuano (lahir 9 Januari 1952) merupakan seorang politisi Amerika. Pemilik nama lengkap Mike Everett Capuano ini menjadi anggota DPR Amerika Serikat yang mewakili Distrik Kongres ke-7 Massachusetts. Ia menjabat mulai pada tanggal 3 Januari 1999 sampai 3 Januari 2019. Ia pernah bekerja sebagai seorang pengacara dan anggota dewan Somerville sebelum berhasil dalam pemilihan anggota dewan perwakilan Amerika Serikat. ia juga sempat mengalami kegagalan pada pemilihan di Primary Demokrat pada 4 September 2018.


    Karier


    Kariernya di dunia politik dan hukum dimulai pada tahun 1977 ketika ia menjabat sebagai aparat pemerintah kotapraja (setingkat kecamatan) selama dua tahun di Somerville, Massachusetts. Pada tahun 1978 hingga tahun 1984 ia menjabat sebagai kepala komite penasihat hukum untuk bidang perpajakan di Pengadilan Umum Massachusetts. Kemudian pada tahun 1990 ia berhasil memenangkan pemilihan dan menjadi dewan perwakilan amerika serikat Distrik Kongres ke-7 Massachusetts. Dan pada tahun 2013-2019 kembali ia menjabat sebagai anggota dewan perwakilan amerika serikat Distrik Kongres ke-8 Massachusetts.


    Pendidikan


    Ia menyelesaikan masa pendidikan formal SMA di sekolah menengah Somerville tahun 1969. Setelah itu, ia mendapatkan gelar sarjananya dari Universitas Dartmouth pada tahun 1973. Kemudian melanjutkan Kuliah hukum di Universitas Boston dan lulus pada tahun 1977.
