    Mufasa adalah karakter fiksi dalam waralaba The Lion King milik Disney. Singa yang bijak dan baik hati ini pertama kali muncul dalam film animasi tahun 1994 The Lion King sebagai Raja Pride Lands dan ayah dari Simba, pewaris takhtanya. Mufasa dibunuh oleh adik laki-lakinya, Scar, yang kemudian merebut takhta. Kematian sang ayah memaksa Simba ke pengasingan, tetapi hantunya kemudian muncul di hadapan Simba dewasa. Hantu Mufasa mendesaknya untuk kembali ke rumah dan menghadapi tanggung jawabnya sebagai ahli warisnya yang sah. Mufasa diisi suaranya oleh aktor James Earl Jones.
    Dibuat oleh penulis skenario Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts, dan Linda Woolverton, Mufasa mengalami beberapa perubahan selama produksi The Lion King. Secara khusus, keputusan untuk menjadikan Mufasa dan Scar bersaudara dimaksudkan untuk memajukan alur cerita. Lalu Mufasa diperkenalkan kembali sebagai hantu untuk memberi Simba alasan yang kuat untuk kembali ke Pride Rock. Para pembuat film berdebat panjang lebar apakah akan menampilkan kematian Mufasa di layar dalam film anak-anak. Film tahun 2019 tersebut menjadi salah satu penampilan terakhir Jones sebelum meninggal pada 9 September 2024. Aktor Samuel E. Wright menerima nominasi Tony Award untuk peran aslinya di Broadway dalam adaptasi panggung film 1997. Prekuel dari film tahun 2019, Mufasa: The Lion King dirilis pada 20 Desember 2024 yang menceritakan masa kecil Mufasa.
