    My First Client adalah sebuah film Korea Selatan tahun 2019 yang disutradarai oleh Jang Gyu-sung dan ditulis oleh Min Kyung-eun. Film tersebut bercerita tentang perjalanan pengacara muda dalam mengusut kasus penganiayaan dan pembunuhan yang dialami klien pertamanya.


    Sinopsis


    Jung Yeob (Lee Dong Hwi) yang lama mengganggur akhirnya bekerja di pusat kesejahteraan anak berkat koneksi kakak perempuan kandungnya. Meski sudah tak lagi mengganggur, Jung Yeob bekerja setengah hati di sana. Sebab, ia merasa itu sama sekali bukan pekerjaan impiannya. Baru saja bekerja, ia menangani satu aduan kekerasan dari dua bocah yang datang ke kantor tanpa didampingi orang dewasa. Mereka adalah Da Bin (Choi Myung Bin), bocah perempuan berusia 10 tahun dan adiknya, Minjoon, berusia 7 tahun.
    Da Bin membuat aduan bahwa ibu tirinya telah menganiaya dirinya. Saat itu Da Bin tak memiliki satu pun orang dewasa yang dapat menolong mereka, termasuk ayah kandungnya. Oleh Jung Yeob, kasus itu sempat ditangani namun karena kurangnya bukti, aduan Da Bin hanya membuahkan pengawasan dan peringatan kurang berarti bagi ibu tiri Da Bin. Nahasnya, sebab aduan Da Bin itu, keganasan sang ibu tiri kian menjadi-jadi. Singkatnya, aduan Da Bin ditutup dan Jung Yeob mesti meninggalkan pusat kesejahteraan anak sebab dirinya mendapatkan pekerjaan impiannya di Seoul. Kepergian Jung Yeop rupanya menjadi masa terburuk bagi Da Bin dan Minjoon, sebab sejak itu sudah tidak ada lagi sosok orang dewasa yang mau mendengarkan mereka.
    Sampai akhirnya, Da Bin ditetapkan sebagai tersangka setelah mengaku telah membunuh adiknya, Minjoon. Mendapati kabar itu, Jung Yeop menyesal setengah mati sebab tidak begitu niat membantu Da Bin dan Minjoon yang saat itu sudah terang datang kepadanya untuk meminta bantuan. Untuk menebus rasa bersalah, Jung Yeop meninggalkan pekerjaan impiannya, demi memberikan keadilan pada Da Bin dan Minjoon.
