Nepenthes ephippiata merupakan salah satu spesies dari keluarga Nepenthaceae, atau Kantong semar. Tanaman ini sulit diketemukan baik di alam liar ataupun penangkaran. Natif di pulau Kalimantan, tanaman ini berkerabat dekat dengan Nepenthes lowii, memiliki ciri yang hampir sama, yaitu kantung yang keras dan berkayu, serta rambut panjang yang tumbuh di bawah katup kantung bagian atas. Kedua spesies juga memiliki kantung bagian atas yang banyak memproduksi cairan eksudat yang berguna sebagai umpan untuk menarik tikus pohon dan mamalia kecil lainnya. Namun berbeda dari saudaranya, Nepenthes Iowii, Nepenthes ephippiata dapat tumbuh lebih besar.

Rekord dari tanmaan ini ditemukan di dataran tinggi Kalimantan Tengah (Mt. Raya dan Mt. Lesong) pada ketinggian antara 1000 - 1900 meter.
