    Netscape Communications Corporation (awalnya Mosaic Communications Corporation) adalah sebuah perusahaan layanan komputer asal Amerika Serikat yang independen. Kantor pusatnya terletak di Mountain View, California yang kemudian berpindah ke Dulles, Virginia.
    Sebagai perusahaan teknologi yang bergerak di ranah internet, Netscape pernah mendominasi industri penjelajah web dalam hal kapasitas saham. Meski begitu, beberapa saat kemudian sebagian sahamnya berpindah ke Internet Explorer selama perang penjelajah web. Pada akhir tahun 2006, pangsa penggunaan peramban Netscape mengalami penurunan, yang pada awalnya lebih dari 90% di pertengahan tahun 1990-an, menjadi hanya kurang dari 1%. Meski terbilang tidak lama, di masa kejayaan operasionalnya, Netscape telah berhasil memberikan kontribusi terhadap dunia teknologi informasi modern dengan mengembangkan Secure Sockets Layer Protocol (SSL) yang masih banyak digunakan hingga saat ini untuk mengamankan komunikasi online, serta JavaScript, salah satu bahasa yang paling banyak digunakan di dalam pemrograman.
    Pasar saham milik Netscape diperdagangkan antara tahun 1995 sampai 2003 sebagai anak perusahaan dari AOL. Namun, kemudian berubah menjadi sebuah perusahaan induk termasuk pembelian AOL Netscape pada tahun 1998. Merek Netscape masih banyak digunakan oleh AOL. Beberapa layanan yang saat ini ditawarkan dengan merek Netscape, selain web browser, termasuk diskon penyedia jasa internet dan sebuah situs web populer yaitu social news. Pada bulan Desember 2007, AOL mengumumkan akan tidak ada lagi pembaharuan pada penjelajah web Netscape. Tom Drapeau, direktur dari Merek Netscape dari AOL, mengumumkan bahwa perusahaan akan berhenti mendukung produk-produk perangkat lunak Netscape pada 1 Maret 2008.     Di antara Juni 2006 dan September 2007, AOL mengoperasikan situs Netscape sebagai situs berita sosial yang serupa dengan Digg. Formatnya tidak berjalan dengan baik karena lalu lintas turun 55,1 persen antara November 2006 dan Agustus 2007. Pada September 2007, AOL mengembalikan situs Netscape menjadi portal berita tradisional, dan mengganti nama portal berita sosial menjadi "Propeller", memindahkan situsnya ke domain "propeller.com." AOL menutup situs Propeller pada 1 Oktober 2010.
