    Patricia Highsmith (19 Januari 1921 – 4 Februari 1995) adalah seorang novelis dan penulis cerita pendek Amerika, yang dikenal atas cerita seru psikologi buatannya, yang dibuat dalam lebih dari dua puluh adaptasi film. Novel pertamanya, Strangers on a Train, telah diadaptasi untuk drama dan layar lebar beberapa kali, terutama oleh Alfred Hitchcock pada 1951.
