Development
= Construction
=Construction on the stadium will begin in 2029 and its opening will take place in 2032.
It will be located in the northern part of Jeddah on the shore of the Red Sea. The stadium will be situated at the heart of the Qiddiya Coast Development. The design of the stadium symbolizes the dynamic relationship between people, water, energy, and matter, while also capturing the ripple effect of a "Mexican wave." Its undulating form and vibrant color palette create a sense of energy and joy, reflecting the lively spirit of the space.
= Post-2034
=After the World Cup, the stadium’s flexible configuration means it will serve as a versatile and dynamic multipurpose entertainment venue. The design allows for the removal of the upper tier for legacy purposes, leaving a 25,000-capacity venue. Curtains, partitions, and the removable football pitch will allow the facility to host leading esports events, exhibitions, concerts, and conferences, as well as major sports tournaments.
