    Saxony, dengan nama resmi Negara Merdeka Saxony (Jerman: Freistaat Sachsen; Sorbia Hulu: Swobodny stat Sakska), adalah sebuah negara bagian Jerman yang terletak di timur. Negara bagian ini memiliki wilayah seluas 18.338 km² dan penduduk sebanyak sekitar 4.081.308 jiwa. Ibu kotanya adalah Dresden, sedangkan kota terbesarnya adalah Leipzig.

    Sachen berbatasan dengan Polandia di sebelah timur dan Republik Ceko di selatan.
