    Dalam legenda abad pertengahan di Barat, succubus (plural succubi) atau succuba (plural succubae) adalah sesosok setan berwujud wanita cantik yang merayu laki-laki (terutama pendeta) melalui mimpi untuk melakukan hubungan seksual.     Dikatakan bahwa cara mereka berkembang biak adalah :
    1. Succubus harus merayu dan menyetubuhi manusia berjenis kelamin laki-laki, kemudian sampel sperma dari manusia itu diberikan kepada Incubus.
    2. Lalu, Incubus yang sudah mendapatkan sampel sperma manusia itu menggunakan sperma itu untuk menyetubuhi manusia berjenis kelamin wanita, sehingga manusia itu hamil dan melahirkan bayi. Bayi hasil perkawinan manusia dengan Succubus/Incubus disebut sebagai Cambion.
    Cambion dikatakan akan tumbuh seperti anak-anak normal di usia sebelum 7 tahun, kemudian ketika usianya menginjak 7 tahun, Cambion mulai menunjukkan perilaku jahat dan biadabnya, dan akan menjadi generasi penerus Incubus dan Succubus.
