    Tang adalah peralatan bengkel yang khusus digunakan untuk memegang, memotong, melepas, dan memasang bahan kerja. Jenis tang bermacam-macam, di antaranya tang kombinasi, tang lancip, dan tang potong.


    Jenis




    = Tang kombinasi

    =
    Tang kombinasi digunakan untuk memegang, memuntir dan memotong benda kerja, misal kawat penghantar (kabel). Ciri utama dari tang kombinasi adalah:

    Ujung rahangnya mempunyai pinggiran yang bergerigi tajam agar dapat memegang dengan erat.
    Objek yang berbentuk silinder ditahan oleh gerigi bulat.
    Pemotongan kawat baja dilakukan oleh pemotong dua sisi.
    Kawat lunak dipotong menggunakan rahan pemotong sisi.
    Berukuran mulai dari 15 cm sampai 23 cm.

    Tang potong. Tang potong khusus dipakai untuk memotong kawat/kabel.


    = Tang lancip

    =
    Tang lancip. Tang lancip digunakan untuk memegang benda kerja yag kecil, bisa juga digunakan untuk membuat mata sambungan. Biasanya tang lancip juga dilengkapi dengan pemotong kabel.


    = Tang bulat

    =
    Tang bulat. Tang bulat khusus digunakan untuk membuat mata sambungan (mata itik) pada ujung kabel. Kepala tang berbentuk silinder (bulat).


    = Tang pemegang

    =
    Tang pemegang. Tang ini dirancang khusus untuk memegang benda kerja. Tidak dilengkapi dengan bagian pemotong.


    = Tang kakatua

    =
    Tang Kakaktua. Tang kakaktua khusus digunakan untuk memegang atau mencabut paku.
