Testudinata adalah kelompok yang terdiri dari semua tetrapoda dengan cangkang kura-kura sejati. Kelompok ini berisi kura-kura modern (Testudines) dan sebagian besar kerabat bercangkangnya yang sudah punah (kura-kura purba). Meskipun kelompok ini pertama kali diciptakan sebagai kelompok yang berisi kura-kura oleh Jacob Theodor Klein pada tahun 1760, kelompok ini didefinisikan pertama dalam pengertian modern oleh Joyce dan rekan-rekannya pada tahun 2004. Testudinata tidak termasuk kura-kura purba Odontochelys, yang hanya memiliki bagian bawah cangkang.
