Yui Aragaki (新垣 結衣code: ja is deprecated , Aragaki Yui) (lahir 11 Juni 1988) adalah aktris sekaligus penyanyi, pengisi suara, dan model asal Jepang. Nama panggilannya adalah Gakky (ガッキーcode: ja is deprecated , Gakkī) atau Yuibo (ゆいぼcode: ja is deprecated ). Kegemarannya adalah menggambar dan karaoke.




Biografi


Yui Aragaki dilahirkan sebagai putri bungsu dari tiga bersaudara yang semuanya perempuan. Kariernya sebagai model berawal dari audisi foto model majalah fesyen nicola yang diikutinya tahun 2001. Kakak perempuannya meminta Yui untuk mengikuti peserta audisi, dan ternyata menang sebagai juara pertama. Setelah itu, ia terus menerus menjadi model untuk sejumlah majalah fesyen. Hingga di akhir kariernya dengan majalah nicola pada musim semi tahun 2005, wajahnya menghiasi sampul majalah nicola sebanyak 15 kali. Nama panggilan "Gakky" didapatnya dari aktris dan model Ayako Enomoto, dan bukan sewaktu menjadi model majalah nicola.
Pertengahan tahun 2004 merupakan saat debutnya sebagai bintang tamu acara variety di televisi, model pakaian renang, dan mencoba karier di dunia akting. Tahun berikutnya (2005), serial drama televisi Sh15uya (dibaca Shibuya Fifteen) adalah penampilan perdananya di dunia akting. Masih pada tahun yang sama, Yui menjadi bintang iklan televisi perusahaan telekomunikasi NTT East. Di antara iklan televisi yang dibintanginya terdapat iklan biskuit cokelat Pocky. Nama Yui Aragaki semakin dikenal setelah membintangi serial drama Gyarusā dan My Boss My Hero. Selanjutnya, ia menjadi pengisi suara tokoh Mirara dalam film Keroro Gunsō the Super Movie, dan dalam anime Digimon Savers untuk tokoh Fujieda Yoshino.
Karier di layar perak dimulainya pada tahun 2007. Film perdananya adalah Koisuru Madori yang mulai beredar 18 Agustus 2007. Dua film selanjutnya hingga akhir tahun 2007 adalah Waruboro dan Koizora. Lagu "Memories" yang menjadi lagu tema film Koisuru Madori adalah debutnya sebagai penyanyi. Cuplikan lagu tersebut dinyanyikannya dalam acara radio School of Lock! di FM Tokyo, 6 Agustus 2007. Pada 1 Oktober 2007, cuplikan lagu "heavenly days" kembali dibawakan dalam acara radio yang sama. Lagu "heavenly days" yang merupakan lagu film Koizora pertama kali dibawakannya dalam acara Count Down TV (TBS), 3 November 2007. Lagu "Memories" dan "heavenly days" keduanya terdapat di dalam album perdana, Sora yang dirilis 5 Desember 2007. CD album Sora edisi terbatas terdapat buklet yang sampulnya didesain sendiri oleh Yui Aragaki.
