Sinopsis
Tom Carter atau Tom Dolan yang diperankan oleh Neeson adalah veteran pasukan angkatan darat Amerika Serikat. Carter memiliki keahlian sebagai perakit elektronik dan penjinak bom waktu pada saat ditugaskan pada perang di Timur Tengah. Semua berjalan baik hingga Carter pulang dan mendapati ayahnya sedang mengalami keadaan mendesak membutuhkan uang untuk keperluan pemeriksaan medis. Ayah Carter mengajukan pengambilan keseluiruhan dana pensiun dari sebuah lembaga perbankan. Namun, pengajuan tersebnut ditolak oleh bank. Hal tersebut menyebabkan ayah Carter sekarat dan meninggal pada kemudian hari dimana seharusnya Ia menyambut kepulangan Carter. Hal ini yang menjadikan seorang Tom Carter kemudian geram kepada yang menjadikan ayahnya tak tertolong. Sebagai pelampiasan Carter, Ia mencuri dan meretas sistem keamanan bank dimana Ayahnya ditolak dipinjami uang. Latar belakang ini yang kemudian membuat Carter kemudian mencuri hanya untuk sebuah kesenangan, Hingga suatu ketika Carter berjumpa dengan Annie Wilkins yang diperankan oleh Walsh. Annie adalah seorang pegawai ruang penyimpanan berbayar. Saat hendak memesan ruang penyimpanan, Carter menunjukkan ketertarikannya pada Annie Wilkins. Kisah tersebut berlanjut menjadi sebuah drama percintaan. Rupanya, rasa cinta Carter terhadap Annie membawa mereka menuju hubungan yang lebih serius. Carter mengaku kepada Annie bahwa Ia bekerja sebagai ahli brankas. Hingga suatu ketika Carter menyadari bahwa untuk mendapatkan kehidupan yang lebih baik dirinya harus mengakui kepada Annie bahwa sebelumnya merupakan pencuri isi brankas bank yang profesional. Carter menguatkan tekat untuk menyerahkan diri kepada polisi. Carter kemudian menghubungi polisi setempat melalui telepon seluler. Panggilan telepon Carter diterima oleh detektif Sean Meyers. Carter telah menceritakan kepada Meyers bahwa Ia telah merampok sebanyak 21 bank dan mendapatkan hasil curian sebesar $ 6 juta. Meyers menganggap apa yang diceritakan oleh Carter merupakan sebuah lelucon kepada kantor kepolisian.Pemeran

Anthony Ramos berperan sebagai detektif Ramon Hall. Hall adalah partner dari detektif John Niven yang terpaksa mengikuti ajakannya untuk memanfaatkan situasi Tom Carter. Jeffrey Donovan berperan sebagai detektif Sean Meyers. Deterktif yang menerima telepon dari Tom Carter yang mengabarkan penyerahan dirinya. Namun pada mulanya detektif Meyers menganggap itu hanya sebuah lelucon.
