Harriet Starr Stewart (3 April 1862 — 1 November 1931) was the first woman in Canada to earn a Bachelor of Arts. She enrolled at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick in 1878, and completed her studies in 1882, seven years after Grace Annie Lockhart became the first woman in the British Empire and in Canada to earn a bachelor's degree, also at Mount Allison University.
Following graduation, Stewart played a vital role in the Women's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) as a charter member in New Brunswick. Additionally, she contributed to the Women's Missionary Society of the Methodist Church by serving as an editor of The Palm Branch and dedicating several years to the Dominion Board of the organization.
