Olga Liashchuk (Ukrainian: Ольга Лящук, born 1 June 1985) is a Ukrainian pro Strongwoman from Donetsk. She is a 2 x time Arnold Strongwoman Classic champion and winner of World's Strongest Woman, Strongest Woman in the World, and Shaw Classic Open (Women) competitions.
Early life
Olga was a very active child and her father bought her a bicycle at a very young age. She fell in love with sports and started athletics at a young age. As a teenager, she was a hurdler and Pole vaulted 3.9 metres (12 ft 10 in) outdoors and 3.8 metres (12 ft 6 in) indoors. At Kyiv graduate school, she met her coach Mikhail Geraskevych who trained her for Tug of war world games in Taiwan. Then Olga was invited to the Ukrainian national Rugby team but a knee injury stopped her from perusing a career in Rugby. Geraskevych insisted Olga should try strength sports.
Career
In 2014, Olga broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to crush 3 watermelons between the thighs, with a time of 14.65 seconds and with her friend Lidiia Hunko, broke the double Deadlift world record with 410 kg (904 lb).
Olga entered the 2016 Arnold Amateur Strongwoman World Championships in Columbus, Ohio and emerged 3rd place. Taking part in mainstream strongwoman competitions in ensuing years, she won the World's Strongest Woman in Daytona Beach, Florida, the Strongest Woman in the World in Las Vegas, Nevada and became the first and only athlete to win the Arnold Pro Strongwoman in Columbus, Ohio two consecutive times. In 2018, Olga renewed her watermelon crushing world record with a time of 7.59 seconds, and broke another Guinness World Record by carrying 3 people weighing a total of 226 kg (498 lb) across the stage during 2021 Ukraine's Got Talent.
Having competed in 19 international strongwoman competitions, Olga is a 7 time world champion, making her the most decorated professional strongwoman of all-time.
Personal life
Olga currently lives in the United States and trains at Southside Strength in Brentwood, Tennessee. She is a Cerberus Strength sponsored athlete. An avid hiker, she enjoys her free time exploring the nature and going for walks in the parks. She also has a passion for fashion designing.
