    • Thomas Robert Haire (born December 1946) is a former Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) politician and Orangeman who served as deputy Lord Mayor of Belfast from June 2021 to 2022, and High Sheriff of Belfast from January 2017 to 2018.
      He was a Belfast City Councillor from 2011 to 2023, initially representing the Victoria DEA, later its successor, Ormiston.


      Background


      Haire was first elected to Belfast City Council at the 2011 local elections, representing the Victoria District.
      At the 2014 local elections, he was elected for the new Ormiston District.
      In January 2017, Haire was appointed as High Sheriff of Belfast.
      He was re-elected at the 2019 Council election, being returned on the seventh count.
      Haire was made deputy Lord Mayor of Belfast in June 2021, serving under Alliance's Kate Nicholl.
