UCU Lady Cardinals FC is a professional Ugandan women's football team competing in the FUFA Women Super League. The club is owned by Uganda Christian University based in Mukono, Uganda.
History
UCU Lady Cardinals FC partnered with the Women in Football Uganda (WIFU), an organization that was founded in November 2021, and registered 15 girls to be indoctrinated into embracing football as a sport for everyone in 2022 targeting girls below 17 years.
= 2018
=UCU Lady Cardinals booked their slot into the FUFA Women’s Cup after defeating holders Olila in the semifinal that was played in Mukono. They defeated Olila by 2-1 and became the first team to earn a slot in the finals.
= 2024
=On June 17, 2024, UCU Lady Cardinals FC were eliminated by Rines SS WFC in a 2-1 victory in the FUFA Women Cup at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.
UCU Lady Cardinals FC kicked off their season in style with a 2-0 victory over Kawempe Muslim Junior Team in the Finance Trust FUFA Women’s Elite League, under Colline Ahumuza as head coach. The goals came in from Cathy Nassimbwa in the 10th minute and Jovia Nakagolo eight minutes later and secured the victory.
