The Vietnam Tourism Association is a non-governmental and non-profit professional association for individuals, organizations, and businesses involved in the tourism industry in Vietnam. The association's official English name is Vietnam Tourism Association, abbreviated as VITA.
History
The Vietnam Tourism Association was established by Decision No. 18/2002/QĐ-BNV on December 25, 2002, issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs . Its headquarters is located on the 7th floor, 58 Kim Ma Building, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.
The Vietnam Tourism Association has been a member of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) since August 2004. In April 2004, it joined the ASEAN Tourism Association (ASEANTA), headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
