AA #5 and AA #7 Uses - 1911Forum
Feb 24, 2017 · I purchased some AA5 (and Silhouette) for 9mm frangible (90gr) bullets. I think Midway had a clearance on the bullets about 5 years back. I should have bought more, they shot pretty well. At any rate, there was AA5 and Silhouette load data for the bullets.

45 ACP target loads with AA5 powder - 1911Forum
Jul 7, 2006 · NickA, AA5 seems to me very useful to duplicate "Ball" ammo without high pressures. Trodrig, with 200 LSWC I used 6.6 grains and 1.250 OL, perhaps a too light load, or a bad light for my chrono. This was my very first attempt with 200 LSWC/AA5.

Mar 8, 2013 · AA5 and 147gr berry's 9mm round nose real specific loads for this, but can find some loads for 147 grain flat points that I may use as a basis and work up from.my win isn't to make a hot load, actually quite the opposite, so I shouldn't have pressure issues.

10mm load, should I be concerned? - 1911Forum
Dec 11, 2010 · 9.2 gr. of AA5 CCI-300 1.25 OAL Just enough crimp to remove the bell. I found my data using the AA 3.4 online edition, and a Complete Reloading Manual for the .41/.40/10mm from 1991. Both of the above sources list 9.0 gr. and 9.2 gr. as starting charges. Just to cross reference my Hornady 7th lists 9.6 grains as a starting charge for their 155 XTP.
45 load -- HP-38 or AA#5 - 1911Forum
Oct 26, 2013 · As RR said, both powders are excellent for .45. I prefer AA5 regardless of bullet weight but will load some with HP-38 or Bullseye when my AA5 supply is low - as it is now In my guns AA5 is clean burning and I like the feel of the slower powder. For 185gr Berry's RN I use 8.8 gr of AA5. For 200gr LSWC I use 8.1 gr.

Dec 5, 2011 · Then use AA5. This is a VERY accurate powder from 9x21 up to .40S&W and can even do great in .38 Special Wadcutter and .45 ACP target/bullseye loads. Do you want a powder for some specific action pistol use where accuracy is not important and reaching a given powder factor is important?
