Sejarah
Pada tahun 1889, Jurnal Institut Antropologi Kerajaan Pulau Britania Raya menyatakan bahwa
Bahasa Arab yang dituturkan di
Sudan ialah "
Bahasa Arab yang murni tetapi arkais". Pelafalan huruf-huruf tertentu dalam
Bahasa ini seperti Hijazi, dan bukan
Bahasa Mesir, seperti g menjadi pelafalan untuk huruf
Arab Qāf dan J menjadi pelafalan untuk Jim.
