Thomas Fischer is a German academic and Associate Professor at the University of Geneva, specializing in Management and Leadership Studies. He is known for his research on leadership styles, ethical leadership, and abusive supervision.
Academic career
Fischer holds a PhD in Economics with a focus on management from the University of Lausanne. He also earned a master's degree in Mathematics from the Technical University of Munich and bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Business Administration from the Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt in Germany.
Fischer is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Geneva. He serves as the Yearly Review Editor for The Leadership Quarterly, where he has co-edited several special issues on leadership theory and methodology.
Impact and recognition
Fischer received the Best Paper Award from The Leadership Quarterly in 2021 for his research on ethical leadership.
