James Legge (; 20 Desember 1815 – 29 November 1897) adalah seorang sinologis, misionaris, dan cendekiawan Skotlandia, yang dikenal sebagai penerjemah awal teks-teks Tionghoa Klasik ke dalam bahasa Inggris.
Legge menjabat sebagai perwakilan London Missionary Society di Malaka dan Hong Kong (1840–1873) dan menjadi Professor of Chinese pertama di Universitas Oxford (1876–1897). Dalam asosiasi dengan Max Müller, ia menyiapkan seri monumental Sacred Books of the East, diterbitkan dalam 50 volume antara 1879 dan 1891.
